Introduction
In 2001 Muhammad Inamul Haque read an article which stated some shocking statistics about the number of unnecessary deaths caused by inadequate healthcare in rural Bangladesh. Although Mr Haque is based in the UK he has kept a strong connection to Bangladesh and its people. He felt the urge to address this issue and with the generous support of influential professionals in both Bangladesh and the UK he set out to open a charitable hospital in Foridgonj, Chandpur, Bangladesh.
Mozidia Trust was established in 2003, and began with a mother and child healthcare unit which still serves the community today. The majority of the residents in these areas are living under the poverty line and Mozidia Trust provide free treatment to those that are entitled to zakaat. Since opening the hospital has grown and now treats thousands of patients every month. We currently provide a number of services to surrounding communities that would otherwise have no access to medical facilities.
The Mozidia Trust Ideal Health Complex has become a vital part of the local communities; however there is an increasing demand for our facilities. In order to continue our services and provide more for these deprived areas of Bangladesh, we are in urgent need of help from generous supporters.
